In the context of the Belgium Music Week, Sound in Motion offers you an exclusive online concert of Fred Lonberg-Holm’s Lightbox Orchestra filmed and recorded at the fourth Visitations event of 2021 in Rataplan with Karen Willems, Marjolein Vernimmen, Anke Verslype, Elisabeth Klinck, Haroun Iqbal, John Dikeman, Jasper De Roeck, Simon Dhaen, Jonas Nieuwejaers and Fred Lonberg-Holm as non gestural conductor.

Under the Entasis banner Akira Sakata, Giovanni Di Domenico, Giotis Damianidis and guest Aleksandar Škorić play intense spiritual music without boundaries, in memory of Christos Yermenoglou. Christof Kurzmann (Made To Break, Nu Ensemble) and Hanne De Backer (g a b b r o) blend dense electronics, growling baritone sax and bass clarinet for the first time on stage.

Due to circumstances beyond our control Christine Abdelnour will be replaced for her duo concert with The Ex guitarist Andy Moor by piano player Marta Warelis. For this exclusive occasion at AB salon they will perform for the first time ever as duo.

New York based trumpet player and composer Nate Wooley brings his deeply humane compositions for Columbia Icefield to the Oorstof/Trix stage with  Susan Alcorn (pedal steel), Ava Mendoza (guitar) and Ryan Sawyer (drums)

On the second day of Visitations III Dave Rempis, Michael Zerang and Elisabeth Harnik perform with their touring trio and will participate in different combinations initiated by Els Vandeweyer and Jonas Cambien.
