Dropa House
Interlinie is a compact concert tour focusing on the cross-pollination of Dutch and Belgian improvisation, experimental music, and jazz. Through encounters between diverse musical practices, Interlinie aims to stimulate new artistic work and build lasting collaborations.
For the third edition of Interlinie, Berlin-based percussionist, experimental composer, and instrument maker Bex Burch is working on her composition As Yet Untitled – an ever evolving constellation, bringing together international artists. Gathering around her this time are South African Amsterdam based trumpeter James McClure, violinist Esther Coorevits, and accordionist Stan Maris. Together, they shape the work from their own musical practices, creating new encounters that reach beyond a single moment or place. After a two day residency at Dropa House, they will perform on 6 different stages across Belgium, The Netherlands, and Germany.

Moving between structure and improvisation, repetition and disruption, As yet untitled brings together natural sound, musical language and the presence of those gathered. At its core lies an expanded notion of collaboration, one that reaches beyond the ensemble itself and into the space, the audience, and the wider community it inhabits. Past versions of As Yet Untitled have been presented in Berlin, London, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York with artists such as Lia Kohl, Macie Stewart, Whitney Johnson, Rob Frye,…
