Dropa House
Reinier van Houdt plays TTAI by Italian avant-garde composer Giacinto Scelsi and contemporary work La Presence, Les Silences by Jürg Frey. In other words a matinee at Dropa House in collaboration with Grambacht, where deep listening undoubtedly will be rewarded.
Come early for some homemade slow food, drinks, plenty of merch and hang out.

Reinier van Houdt is a componer and pianist from Rotterdam, who’s work revolves around matters that escape conventional notation, with an emphasis on timing, space, memory, noise, environment. He has built himself an unusual repertoire that consistently resulted from personal quests; from collaborations with composers and musicians, from research in archives, from the composing and staging of music-performances, from unorthodox studies of classical music, and from many taperecordings he made since the eighties.
He released 7 solo albums on labels like Erstwhile, Hallow Ground, Elsewhere, Matière Mémoire and Discreet Editions. He has worked with compository greats like John Cage, Luc Ferrari, Annea Lockwood, Alvin Lucier, and played premières piece Robert Ashley, Charlemagne Palestine, Maria de Alvear, Alvin Curran, Francisco López, Christian Marclay and Jürg Frey. In addition to that he is active in MAZE (formerly Maarten Altena Ensemble) and in David Tibet’s outsider collective Current 93, in which he collaborated with Anohni, Nick Cave and John Zorn, among others.
