it’s an ex-Ukrainian militiaman in a Parisian park
it’s the 100 dollars Café Central never paid you
it’s a long, tall piempampoentje with golden yellow hair
it’s Jean-Luc snorting cocaine in his birthday suit.
sunburst on the Belgian subterranean

and what if this is the cosmic booger flicked by some god or primordial beast traveling through the heavens and through the stars and through us all, binding each and every one of us to a FlixBus ride to some corner of endless existence—

Moge dit rauwe en levendige gedicht van ‘Manfred Tragil’ het absurde beeld schetsen van onze Europese tournee met Liam Grant. Terwijl Liam verder de baan op trok, waren wij uitgenodigd voor een tweedaagse residency met Tashi Dorji in ‘Dropa House’ – het nieuwe project van Koen Vandenhoudt & Christel Kumpen.
Deze plaat bevat onze openingsset als duo voor de eerste avond van die residency en werd live opgenomen door Koen Vandenhoudt & Yves Demey. Alle klanken op deze plaat zijn 100% geïmproviseerd – met een klein beetje hulp van een moodboard dat we een minuut of 20 voor het optreden in elkaar hebben gestoken. We zijn heel blij met hoe deze plaat is uitgedraaid! We denken dat het een gedetailleerd beeld toont van waar ‘De Vlaamse Primitieven’ écht voor staan.
