What a total blast the celebration of Fred Van Hove’s 80th birthday was at deSingel last weekend !  The sheer brilliance of all the performances and selling out 2 days was way beyond our expectations. Oorstof will be back at deSingel already on Thu 23 February, this time at the superb acoustic Kleine Zaal with the exciting double bill of Urge Trio > Keefe Jackson, Tomeka Reid & Christoph Erb and Rotozaza > Rudi Mahall, Nicola L. But first things first. On Thursday 16 February at Het Bos (Bos Bar) there’s a Dropa Disc label presentation (2 new releases coming up) in the Closet of Records series with a live show of Jeph Jerman & Tim Barnes (around 20.30) and Dropa Disc’s Koen Vandenhoudt spinning records (as of 18.00). On Saturday 18 February we team up with grambacht and move to the wonderful new art hub Artenova (across the train station of Mechelen) for a double bill with Ilta Hämärä (Bart Sloow & Timo van Luijk) and Jeph Jerman & Tim Barnes.
