In this first collaboration between Mnóad, Le Vecteur and Oorstof Jasper Stadhouders’ Polyband with Onno Govaert, Jeroen Kimman, Miguel Petruccelli and Philipp Moser will take trance inducing polyrhythms and tunes to a whole new level. Teun Verbruggen’s 4tet consists of star players Ingebrigt Haker Flaten, Nate Wooley and Jozef Dumoulin and presents it’s first album on the brand new Walter-label.

Ritual, hypnosis, trance, symmetry, catharsis, euphoria… it’s all there in the multi-layered polyrhythmic cycles and polytonal environments created by The PolyBand, a changing pool of musicians and performers led by Jasper Stadhouders (Made To Break, Cactus Truck) since 2015. Besides Jasper Stadhouders (guitar, composition) the Polyband on this occasion consists of Onno Govaert (drums), Jeroen Kimman (guitar), Miguel Petruccelli (bass) and Philipp Moser (drums).

When Teun Verbruggen (drums), Ingebrigt Haker Flaten (bass), Nate Wooley (trumpet) and Jozef Dumoulin (fender rhodes) took the stage at the Jazz Middelheim Festival in 2014 it turned out to be a revelation. Fortunately this show was recorded and is now available under the titel Walters First on the brand new Walter imprint, co-produced by Rat Records. The release comes with 3 paintings inspired by the music made by Wannes Lecomte. The release tour/presentation of Walters First can be seen as a kind of travelling or nomadic happening combining expo and concert.
