On Thursday May 4th Oorstof heads back to DE Studio for the Belgian debut of the challenging Norwegian quintet Nakama. After Grand Line and Most Intimate, 2 impressive Nakama-releases from 2016, they now tour for the first time as a quintet adding the vocal acrobatics of Agnes Hvizdalek to the line up of Adrian Løseth Waade (violin), Ayumi Tanaka (piano), Andreas Wildhagen (drums) and Christian Meaas Svendsen (bass). The adventurous baritone sax duo g a b b r o (Hanne De Backer and Marc De Maeseneer) will top this challenging evening and grab the opportunity to present you their debut lp. Reserve your spot and save 3 EUR. It’s easy, just mail us here !

Some Dropa Disc news: Both the Ballister lp/dvd (pal): Low Level Stink and the Evan Parker, John Edwards, Steve Noble cd: PEN are going very strong. Since the official launch on March 19th we are down to the less than 100 copies  of the Ballister lp/dvd (edition of 300) and less than 150 copies (edition of 500) of the PEN cd. So if you haven’t got your copy yet just get some at the next Oorstof-events or go to and order some. Also these fine online outlets offer the Dropa Disc-releases: Squidco, Metamkine (also distribution), Instant Jazz, Soundohm and these local record stores with good taste: Morbus Gravis, Tune Up, Mark Sound, Wally’s Grooveworld (Antwerp) and Music Mania (Ghent)
