On popular demand the access to the Visitations II event will be extended until Sunday May 2nd 2021. Those who have an access code already can keep using it, those who haven’t got an acces code yet can register for free/gratis to obtain one.

Under the Visitations banner Sound in Motion shows similarities, differences and cross-pollinations between local and international musicians. Due to the pandemic the first two editions of Visiations 2021 will support and work with artists residing in Belgium. This second edition of 2021 is produced in collaboration with De Studio.

For the second Visitations edition of 2021 Ann Eysermans (bass, harp), Ananta Roosens (violin, trumpet), Pak Yan Lau (electro-acoustics), Nicolas Chkifi (drums), Frans Van Isacker (clarinets), Giovanni Di Domenico (piano) and Giotis Damianidis (guitar) accepted the challenge to immerse themselves in an adventurous musical three day residency at De Studio.

Exactly one year ago this edition of Visitations would bring the artists residing in Belgium together with Paal Nilssen-Love, Johan Berthling, Akira Sakata, Darin Gray and Chris Corsano. Over the last couple of weeks it became clear that getting together this international line up would not be realistic. Therefore Visitations will focus further on the talented group of Belgian musicians and international musicians residing in Belgium. Brussels based Greek guitar and bass player Giotis Damianidis (Don Kapot, Punk Kong) will be added tot the original local cast of last years Visitations: Eysermans Roosens, Lau, Chkifi, Van Isacker, Di Domenico. In addition to the concerts Guy Peters (Enola, JazzLab) will talk to this group of adventurous musicians in search of their musical motivations.

This Visitations event will be available online at De Studio’s vimeo platform from Saturday April 17th until Saturday April 24th 2021 (Extended until Sunday May 2nd 2021). You can enjoy all the concerts and the interview whenever and as long as you want.
